App is useless by all means.Life360 can be used around the world and is available in eight different languages. They asked questions like: -has he been driving longer than 20 min: yes 4 hrs -Was he's speed limit more than 25mph: yes -wifi on: yes -life 360 was allowed to detect a car crash: yes So basically everything on his side checked off but they had no clue of why the collision wasn't alerted. Reached out to the app via email (no live rep available) which they didn't have an answer of why they weren't alerted of his accident. Thankfully a driver stopped and assisted my son and gave him his phone so he can call me. the reason I knew he had an accident was because I was on the phone with him when it happened. App showed his car stopped BUT NEVER NOTIFIED ME OF HIS ACCIDENT OR SENT HELP TO HIS LOCATION ( the whole purpose I paid for this app). I was on the phone when all this happened, lost all connection with him. However while driving a deer crossed the road he tried to avoid it and caused his car to rolled down a slope. Long story short the app was accurate with tracking him, I was able to see exactly his location and speed. I downloaded this app because my 19 yr old son was going on his first long drive (12 hrs) to visit a friend. For what you pay it's cheaper to use AAA and still get all the same features and they will show up and help you when you need it. I see why people say life 360 is just collecting your money and not helping you. I was a platinum member for years but after getting left to freeze with no help and sending some rusted out old trucks and trailer to attempt to get me that I wouldn't put trash on. And as long as you pay them monthly they will take your money and not help you when you need it most. Then I broke down and called and takes over 4 hours and they tried to send same guy with a truck and trailer that was not safe to haul my vehicle to try to move it. I have tried contacting support just to get the run around for over two months. My son waited over 6 hours and I went and got parts and tools and fixed his vehicle on the side of the road before they ever could find a tow company to come get it. I will NEVER use the platinum service again. We had a serious issue in the past where one of kids was being chased by a gang who were going to hurt him or worse and called me for help, but life 360 had stopped working.Īfter 6 hours waiting for a tow truck that was not a tow truck and should of been in a horror movie. They can't seem to grasp this and just don't care. If your child has gone missing or is lost or needs your help and you need to know where they are then you obviously don't have access to their phone to perform all this troubleshooting nor can you ask them to, especially if you cannot even contact them. I have explained to them several times that having to keep doing this defeats the point in the app. The only solution they give you to these issues is that the user with issues has to keep resetting their password, reinstalling the app and even completely deleting their life 360 account and create a new one. The customer service and support is completely useless and they are clueless and don't give a damb, not even if your child has gone missing and you cannot track them. This is not a 1 off either, these issues have occurred on every single one of my kids phones at some point over the years we have been using the app. It will randomly stop working when you actually need it, it will report wrong locations, it will alert you that your kids have left the house in the middle of the night when they are sleeping and all kinds of other issues. But they all seem to have reliability issues. Make sure you have a backup tracking option, such as family link. This app is useful when it works but it is not reliable and you should not rely on it to track the location of your kids.
